Olivia Rose’s Pushchair & Style Tips

Looking for a pushchair that makes a style statement? Our six new-look Ocarro Pushchair each have its own distinct signature style. And with six very different looks, there’s one to suit every wardrobe and lifestyle. As part of our launch it made perfect sense to team up with stylist, mum and influencer Olivia Rose, of Virtually Styled @virtuallystyledby, to help style our campaign. We caught up with Olivia, to get her thoughts on the new style Ocarro pushchair, her own must-have mum wardrobe and, of course, her top tips for dressing as a new mum.

1. You styled 6 very distinct looks as part of our Ocarro pushchair campaign. How did you approach creating each signature look?

“Getting into the mindset of the mums that will be using each Ocarro style was really important to us - we put ourselves in their shoes; thinking about where they would shop, making sure each outfit would be practical for mum life.”

2. Of the 6 new Ocarro pushchair styles, which mama are you?

Jet. You can never go wrong with a sleek black pushchair; it goes with everything & you’ll never tire of the colour!”

3. When styling a new mum, what are your 3 most important considerations?

Efficiency. As all new mums will know we don’t have the time we used to, no one wants to be pressing a shirt or steaming a dress in the morning. Low maintenance fabrics are a mum’s best friend.

Comfort. Whether you’re in the newborn days cuddled on the sofa, a toddler mum running around the park, or anywhere in between, feeling restricted in clothing isn’t what you want! Think elasticated waist bands and oversized knits.

Basics. Good quality basic pieces are key to pulling together outfits that work. The outfit combinations are endless and require minimal thinking in the morning!”

4. As a mum yourself what are the 3 hardest working pieces in your wardrobe?

Pleated trousers. Easy to wash, they don’t need ironing, they’re comfortable and they look smarter than leggings.

White T-shirts. They look good with any bottoms. I have around 5 or 6 that I rotate.

A long puffer jacket. My baby loves to go on several walks a day and we both need the fresh air, no matter what the weather!”

5. What advice do you have for a new mum, re-discovering her style after having her first baby?

Go back to basics. One of the first things I did post-baby was buy all of my basics in my new size. I immediately had outfits that fit me and flattered me. Then I went from there buying new pieces such as knitwear.”

6. How was your own style changed since becoming a mum?

“The simpler the better and I’m not afraid to outfit repeat! If an outfit works for you why change it? Oh, and I almost always dress to match my little boy in some capacity.”

7. Your top labels/shops for day-to-day dressing?

“I am a high street girl and love an H&M find. I love Arket, COS, and &Other Stories too.”

8. Your top tip for looking stylish on a budget?

“Buy less! You don’t need 4 different pairs of black trousers - buy one better quality pair that works for all occasions.”

9. Your top tip for looking pulled together in a rush?

“Stick to the two-colour rule. This is my absolute fail safe! I’m always in a rush.”

Every single one of our new-style Ocarro pushchairs is designed for the parent who doesn’t want to leave their style behind - after all as a new parent your pushchair is your hardest working accessory. So, which one will be your next style statement?
