The Recaro Young Sport Hero Core Group 1/2/3 Car Seat will see your little one through their whole childhood, once they've outgrown their infant carrier - making it a great car seat for longevity. Offering outstanding protection, advanced functionality and sporty design in one package, it's super-simple to install using the vehicle's own 3-point belt. It's suitable for use from approximately 9 months to 12 years old, or 9kg up to 36kg.
The unique Hero seat is a safety system from Recaro, which combines the shoulder supports, shoulder belts and headrest in a single unit. This prevents the belt system from twisting and slipping, whilst the soft belt covers help to prevent any skin irritation.
The advanced side protection together with the protective hip, shoulder and head areas will help to reduce forces in the event of a collision, and the breathable fabrics will give your little one a comfy ride. Care & Maintenance
The buckle must always lock into place with an audible click. If it does not, this may be caused by dirt in the buckle. As a counter measure, the buckle can be removed (chapter 3.1) and cleaned with warm water. Before reinstalling, allow the buckle to dry thoroughly. The buckle must not be lubricated with oil or grease. The cover of the RECARO Young Sport, Young Sport HERO can be washed in the washing machine. Please remove all removable foam pads from and out of the covers before washing. These pads must not be washed. We recommend washing the cover at 30 °C on a gentle wash setting in order to protect the environment. If washed at higher temperatures the colours may fade. Do not spin and never dry in a tumble drier, as the material and wadding could separate from one another.

What is Isofix and how does it work?
Isofix is a type of car seat base that securely locks your car seat into your car, keeping it safe and secure whilst you travel. A car seat with an Isofix base can be really simply installed via attachments that click in to your vehicle's Isofix anchor points, which gives you peace of mind that your car seat has been fitted correctly and removes human error. Isofix compatibility creates a secure and simple way to travel with your little one.
Should my child be rear or forward facing?
When it comes to your child's safety, you want to be sure that they're properly restrained in their car seat whilst you travel. Forward-facing or rear-facing, each has its advantages and disadvantages, so it's important to select the right seat for your child. Choosing whether to forward- or rear-face your little one's car seat depends on their age, height and weight. Even with the most modern safety features, forward-facing restraints are not designed to protect children younger than 3 years old. How do I care for my car seat?
Car seats are an essential bit of kit if you want to travel with your little one in your car. But like any other piece of safety equipment, car seats need to be cared for properly to keep them working safely and make sure they stay nice and comfy for your child. To clean your car seat, use a sponge, mild soap and warm water. To remove stubborn stains, spray soap and water solution onto the seat and let it sit for 15-20 minutes before blotting with a clean sponge. Avoid using harsh cleaning agents, as they could damage your seat's fabric.
How do I know which car seat group to choose?
Car seats are grouped by weight ranges, not age. A correct fit is extremely important, so you'll need to make sure you choose the car seat group that corresponds to your child's weight.
