We have identified a potential quality issue with some Armadillo Flip and Armadillo Flip XT strollers. Consumers should send these strollers for a free repair as instructed below.
The quality issue: a loose catch on some Armadillo Flip and Armadillo Flip XT strollers may cause the seat to slip back unexpectedly when the baby is in the parent-facing position, presenting a tipping hazard to the child. We have received no reports of injuries.
The voluntary recall applies to strollers with the following Lot Codes (found on the sewn-in tag on the strollers). The Lot Codes show the date of manufacture.
Armadillo Flip: Lot 00814 to 00416
Armadillo Flip XT: Lot 01214 to 00416
Strollers manufactured after April 2016 (beginning with lot number 00516) already have the technical fix and are not subject to this recall. Strollers that have been repaired will have a blue sticker on the chassis.
If you have a recalled stroller, please DO NOT USE the stroller in the parent-facing position until after it is repaired.
To obtain the free repair for an Armadillo Flip or Armadillo Flip XT stroller, please:
Take your stroller, in a box, to your nearest UPS drop off location or contact UPS to arrange a pick-up.
Before boxing the stroller, please remove the seat unit and wheels of the stroller; only send the chassis frame to prevent transit damage.
Attach a label to your stroller and to the box with your name and address. Include a phone number if possible.
To send your stroller via UPS, please use the following account number: 87674F and include SN0716 in the reference field for the shipment.
