Payment

Mamas & Papas welcomes payment by the following credit and debit cards in store, through our Customer Service team and on our website at mamasandpapas.com:

Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa Electron and Laser (Republic of Ireland in store purchases only). Payment by PayPal is accepted online, at our website only.

In store you can place an order with a 25% deposit. There is no interest to pay and you can make payments when it suits you. The balance must be paid in full on collection of your order from store or 28 days before the delivery date. You can make payments or pay your balance at any Mamas & Papas Store or by calling our Customer Service team. We also accept payments from friends and family.

For sale or clearance items payment must be made in full at the time of purchase.

If you wish to change or add to your order you can do so by visiting a store or calling the Customer Service team. Any changes however could delay the full order so please check when amending your order by asking a member of staff in store or a customer service adviser.

If you wish to cancel an order please visit one of our stores or call our Customer Service team to arrange a refund or exchange. Please refer to our Refund and Exchange.

Any deposit paid to secure an order shall be paid to, and held by, our parent company Mamas & Papas (Holdings) Limited. Mamas & Papas (Holdings) Limited shall retain any such payments made until your order has been collected or delivered to you.

If Mamas & Papas is unable to fulfil your order we will notify you and Mamas & Papas (Holdings) Limited shall refund the amount paid by you, within 14 days of its notification, to your original method of payment (i.e. credit card, debit card, PayPal, gift card or to a combination of payment methods as applicable).

Acceptance of order

For orders placed in store a receipt will be provided at the point of sale. For orders placed through our Customer Service team or online, you will receive an e-mail order acknowledgement. It is important that your correct e-mail address is provided at the time of purchase. Mamas & Papas accepts your order at the time full payment is taken.

Alternatively, please contact a member of our Customer Service team. Please note factory shop refurbished furniture items are excluded from all delivery promotions. Refurbished furniture items must be collected from the factory shop in person.

At the time of publication on our website and in our catalogue, all product descriptions are believed accurate, errors and omissions excepted. The Mamas & Papas’ design team take great care with the colours used in our collections. However, representations of colours are approximate only due to the limitations of the photographic, reproduction and printing process. There may therefore be a difference between the actual product and photographs of it on our website, or in our catalogue. All measurements and weights are approximate.

Whilst we endeavour to maintain advertised product colours and specifications during the lifetime of our catalogue, we reserve the right to change them and to discontinue particular products as we consider necessary. This will not affect any orders that have already been accepted.

The price of your product is that applicable at the time of purchase. Prices are inclusive of vat at the rate applicable at the time of purchase. Previously viewed prices via cookies on your computer will not be honoured and requests to do so will be refused. Sale prices are available only while stocks last.

Personalised products

Our personalisation service can help turn your gift into a keepsake:

  • Products available for personalisation are embroidered or engraved to a maximum number of 12 characters. However this number does vary by product and is shown with the product details of each product.
  • The maximum number of characters does include spaces.
  • For web orders, type the name to be embroidered or engraved in the text box of the product page then click add to basket. By adding to basket you have confirmed the correct spelling of the name.
  • For orders placed in store, you will be asked to sign the order confirmation or receipt to confirm that the spelling of the name is correct.
  • If you order via our Customer Service team, the spelling of the name will be confirmed by repeating the spelling back to you.
  • We do not accept responsibility for any incorrect spelling of names, except where caused by Mamas & Papas negligence.
  • The size of the text is subject to space restrictions and varies by product. All images and reproductions of personalised products in literature and on our website are provided as a guide only.
  • The cost for personalised products is £3.95/€4.95 per product for embroidery and engraving plus the cost of delivery.
  • Your personalised item(s) can be delivered after 3 working days from the date ordered to your chosen delivery address. For 3 working days delivery for personalised items you must select our ‘Choose Your Day’ service and order before 4 pm. Please access our website under ‘Delivery’ to review all of our delivery options and corresponding terms. When purchasing personalised items under any of our other delivery options, please allow an additional working day to the timescales listed under ‘Delivery’.
  • For busy periods such as during Sale or Christmas this may take longer.
  • If ordering personalised and non-personalised products in the same order, you will have only one delivery charge at the highest applicable delivery rate associated to the items in your basket.
  • Only Mamas & Papas products can be engraved at Mamas & Papas.

Your right to cancel under Distance Selling

Right to cancel

Where you purchase a product or a number of products together from our website or through our Customer Service team you have a right to cancel this contract within 14 calendar days after the date on which the product(s) was (were) collected by you in store or delivered to you by Mamas & Papas.

Where multiple items form part of the same order but have been delivered separately, your right to cancel starts 14 calendar days after the date on which the last product(s) was (were) collected by you in store or delivered to you by Mamas & Papas.

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or e-mail). Please notify us, in writing, by post to; Customer Service, Mamas & Papas (Retail) Limited, Colne Bridge Road, Huddersfield, HD5 0RH.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

This right does not apply to any personalised product(s), to any product(s) which have been made or adapted to your requirements, to any product(s) which cannot be returned for hygiene reasons such as toiletries, underwear or swimwear, or to any products you purchase in store.

Effects of cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery at the standard delivery charge.

In order to receive a full refund, all we ask is that you take reasonable care of the product(s) and that they are returned to us in the same condition and, to the extent possible, in the same packaging as when we delivered them to you. We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any product(s) supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the product(s) back. We will refund you without undue delay, and not later than 14 days from the day you return any products supplied, or provide us with evidence that you have returned them. The refund will be processed to the original form of payment used for the initial transaction, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise to an alternative.

You will be responsible for any postage or other costs incurred in returning the product(s) to us, except where goods might have been delivered to you in error or where the product is faulty or not as described.

If your order comprises of multiple items, you can cancel and return any of the items individually or in combination.

Our refund, exchange and returns policy

We want you to be happy with everything you buy from Mamas & Papas. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase we offer a 30 day returns policy where you can return any unused item(s), in its original packaging with tags still attached, provided that it is in a resalable condition.

Conditions

  • Applicable to in store purchases;
  • Applicable to purchases made online at mamasandpapas.com or through our Customer Service team where you wish to return, exchange or refund your items after the distance selling deadline has expired;
  • The product must not have been used and must be returned to us in a saleable condition and in its original, undamaged packaging with all tags still attached;
  • Exchanges will be provided to a product of your choice, to the original purchase price where a store/gift receipt or email order confirmation is provided. Any price increase should be paid at the time of exchange and any price decrease will be refunded to the original form of payment;
  • Refunds will be processed to the original form of payment where a store/gift receipt or email order confirmation is provided;
  • For returns where a store/gift receipt or email order confirmation cannot be provided, we will exchange your product or process a refund to a gift card. The value of the exchange/refund will be at the selling price applicable on the day of return;
  • Payments made using PayPal can only be refunded by our Support Centre;
  • Refunds will be processed in the same currency used for purchase;
  • Delivery charges will not be refunded;
  • Products returned to our Support Centre will be refunded to an original form of payment, upon receipt of a store/gift receipt or email order confirmation.

Exclusions

  • For hygiene and safety reasons, items such as toiletries, underwear and swimwear;
  • Any item which has been made to order or personalised for you;
  • Mamas & Papas products purchased at other retailers;
  • Gifts Cards
  • Products discounted in-store as a clearance event, these products are non-refundable and will be marked with either a red dot or sold as seen.
  • Nothing within this refund, exchange and returns policy affects your legal rights, and in particular you will always be entitled to return goods to us for a full refund if they were faulty or not as described and we cannot remedy the fault to your reasonable satisfaction.

Returning your goods

For your convenience, you may return any item(s), (excluding furniture - which has its own returns process detailed below) purchased from a Mamas & Papas store, our website or through our Customer Service team using any of the following methods:

To a Mamas & Papas store

Call in to one of our stores and simply return your item(s) with your original store or gift receipt, or your email order confirmation and we will refund or exchange items which are in a re-saleable condition at the price shown on your store receipt or order confirmation email. If you do not have the original store or gift receipt, or email order confirmation, don’t worry, as long as the item(s) are in a re-saleable condition we will exchange or provide a gift card refund of the value of the selling price of your item(s) on the day of the return.

To our Support Centre

Simply complete the returns label included in your original order (for items ordered from our website or via our Customer Service team), or alternatively send your store or gift receipt, or email order confirmation with details of the products you are returning to:

  • Any postage incurred by returning items to us will not be refunded. You are responsible for the return of the product to us.
  • Where you are returning the item by post, you are recommended to use a form of delivery which includes insurance for the full value of the product in case it is lost or damaged in the post. We may refuse a refund or exchange where an item is lost or damaged in transit.
  • To ensure the safe return of your items, please package your item with care. We recommend that items valued over £50/€50 are returned using a trackable delivery service and for items valued over £100 /€100 or more, we recommend that you insure your return for the value of the product and use a signature required delivery service.

By our recommended carrier

If you are unable to return your item(s) to us, don’t worry, we can arrange for our courier to collect your item(s). Please call our Customer Service team - who will be happy to arrange this for you.

A charge of £40/€80 per collection will apply if you wish to use this service unless otherwise advised by our Customer Service team.

Returning your furniture

If you are not fully satisfied with your furniture purchase, please contact our Customer Service team who will be able to assist with the return. A charge of £40/€80 per collection will apply, unless otherwise advised. Please note that we cannot accept furniture returns at our stores.

For assembled furniture - a charge of up to £200/€225 may be levied if you require us to disassemble the furniture for a return.

Your Manufacturing Guarantee

Mamas & Papas have a wide range of products which are all tested to ensure they are of the highest standard and quality. Mamas & Papas warrants that our products will be free of manufacturing defects where used and maintained in accordance with the instruction manuals for the following periods:

  • 2 Years: All new products and Loved for Life "As New" pushchairs;
  • 12 Months: Loved for Life "Loved" pushchairs;
  • 6 Months: Loved for Life "Well Loved" pushchairs.

Where your product is covered by our guarantee against manufacturing defect, we will at our discretion provide one of the following free of charge:

  • Spare, repair or replacement;
  • Replacement self fit part. Instructions will be provided where required;
  • A repair carried out by one of our experienced technicians at our Service Centre;
  • A replacement where the product is deemed irreparable.

This guarantee is subject to the following conditions and exclusions

Conditions

  • Product must be purchased from the Mamas & Papas website, through our Customer Service team or from one of our stores;
  • Original store/gift receipt or email order confirmation must be provided;
  • The guarantee applies to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred with ownership of the product i.e. second hand purchases;
  • Where a particular model, colour, fabric or accessory has been discontinued we may have no alternative but to replace with an equivalent product, colour or fabric.

Exclusions

  • Clothing, Fabric / tyres / PVC of pushchairs, strollers, travel systems, buggies, car seats, highchairs and other equipment;
  • Batteries and chargers;
  • Where incorrect assembly occurs or use of non-recommended parts, or third party accessories not compatible with original design are used;
  • General wear and tear;
  • Accidental damage including airline damage;
  • Damage caused by non-domestic use, abuse, neglect or by not being used and cared for in accordance with our instructions;
  • Corrosion or rust on the wheels or chassis due to extreme environmental conditions, including high humidity, salt spray, ice or snow or due to insufficient maintenance;
  • Improper storage of the product;
  • Customer dissatisfaction with the product in terms of disliking the weight, functionality, colour or style etc;
  • Fabric fading, discoloration or wearing due to laundering and general wear and tear;
  • If a product is adapted or modified;
  • Products which are repaired by an unauthorised repair agent.

Any replacement part or repair of any product will not extend the original guarantee period. Any product provided by way of replacement or exchange of the product originally purchased will be guaranteed for the remainder of the guarantee period applicable to the original product. Where store/gift receipt or email order confirmation cannot be provided Mamas & Papas reserve the right to assess the condition of a product and determine whether it falls within the scope of the guarantee.

In the event a product is outside of your guarantee period we will endeavour to repair or replace parts subject to availability. The charges outside of the warranty period for pushchairs, strollers, travel systems, car seats and electric battery operated ride on vehicles are:

  • Parts and labour £25 / €40 per product
  • Administration and handling £25 / €40 per product

In the unlikely event that you need to claim under the terms of this guarantee, please contact our Customer Service team, or visit your local store.

Nothing in this guarantee will affect your legal rights if the product is faulty or not as described.

  • Care Club+ membership is currently only available to purchase in the Mamas & Papas Leeds Birstall and London Stratford stores.
  • To receive a free loan pushchair, customers must pre-book by telephoning the store. Loan pushchair may not be the exact model as the pushchair being returned for valet or MOT
  • Care Club+ membership is non transferable

  • Euro cards can be purchased in our Republic of Ireland stores or through our Customer Service team.
  • Only one gift card can be purchased per transaction at a maximum value of €300 or £300.
  • For security reasons, if purchasing a Mamas & Papas gift card online, the gift card cannot be combined with any other products within your shopping bag.
  • For additional online security we will verify your payment by using 3D Secure. If your bank has joined the 3D Secure scheme you will be asked to enter your 3D Secure password at check-out. If you have not previously used 3D Secure, you will have the opportunity to set-up your unique password.

Delivery Information

  • The purchase of an e-gift card will be subject to credit/debit card clearance which can take a couple of hours. Once an authorisation is cleared the e-mail will be sent to the designated recipient. E-gift cards purchased Monday - Friday before 5 pm will be e-mailed free of charge to your designated email address within 2 hours of credit/debit card authorisation. E-Gift cards ordered after 5 pm Monday-Thursday will arrive the following day. E-Gift cards ordered after 5 pm on a Friday or during the weekend will not be delivered until Monday.

Applicable to All Gift Cards

  • Please treat your traditional card as if it were cash as the balance cannot be returned to you if it is lost, stolen or damaged.
  • Any unspent amount left on a gift card will automatically expire, and will be lost, if the gift card is not used for a period of 12 consecutive months. This period cannot be extended in any circumstances. A balance enquiry is not considered use.
  • Your card can only be redeemed in the currency of issue.
  • The value on any gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. No change will be given in relation to any purchase made by a gift card and, instead, any balance will remain on your gift card which you can then apply to any future purchases.
  • You can check the balance remaining on your gift card at any Mamas & Papas store, online at mamasandpapas.com or over the phone.
  • Gift cards are non refundable except in accordance with distance selling regulations which apply when you purchase a gift card through our Customer Service team or from our website.
  • You have a right to cancel a distance selling contract within 14 calendar days after the date on which the gift card was sent to you by Mamas & Papas. Please refer to the "your right to cancel under distance selling", section.
  • Any refund due for any product purchased with a gift card will be made to a gift card. Where the gift card has been used by way of part payment for the product the refund of that part payment will be made to a gift card.

Gift Registry

Orders and Gift Availability

Orders for any gift from a Gift Registry may be placed via our website at mamasandpapas.com, in person in any Mamas & Papas store in the UK or through our Customer Service team.

When an item is purchased from your Gift Registry we shall where possible advise if any items are out of stock. For items that are out of stock we shall advise when the next available date for this item will be. Once your friends and family purchase an item we will ensure that wherever possible the item is available for delivery on your agreed date.

Due to demand at certain peak times, such as Sale, we are not able to guarantee the availability of items until they have been purchased. As soon as we know an item on your Gift Registry will not be available or is due to be discontinued, we will where possible notify you so you have the opportunity to change the items on your Gift Registry, or purchase it before it goes out of stock.

Although all items from Mamas & Papas can be added to your Gift Registry, we may from time to time exclude certain items.

Any order for any personalised product is subject to the terms applicable to personalised products. Please refer to Personalised Products of these terms and conditions of sale.

Prices and Payment

You will be charged the current price for purchasing the gift as shown on the website or the Mamas & Papas store on the date you place your order. In the event of any discrepancy between the price of any gift shown on a Gift Registry and that shown on our website, our website price will apply.

Delivery

Delivery dates are arranged in advance with the recipient.

A purchaser can choose to have their gift sent to the recipient’s designated delivery address on their pre-selected delivery date, free of delivery charge. Alternatively, they can also choose to have their gift delivered to a different delivery address and/or on a different date at the applicable current delivery charge; or collect from a store free of charge.

A recipient many change their designated delivery address and date up to 14 days in advance of their original choice. We will contact the recipient approximately 7 to 10 days in advance of the requested delivery date, on the designated contact phone number(s) provided to reconfirm your delivery address and delivery date is still correct. We do this to ensure that the gifts are being delivered to the correct delivery address; we regret we cannot make delivery unless we have been able to reconfirm these details with the recipient.

The Gift Registry delivery service is not available in all areas of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. For full details on delivery and charges please visit our delivery page at www.mamasandpapas.com/delivery. Alternatively, please contact a member of our Customer Service team.

The Gift Registry will be closed 14 days in advance of the designated delivery date after which point no further gifts may be purchased from it.

Cancellations, Refunds and Exchanges

In the event that you need to cancel or postpone your Gift Registry please contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible to advise them. This will enable us to stop further purchases being made. If in this situation a friend or family member has already purchased an item and has been delivered to their home address they can call our Customer Service team to arrange a refund or return. Alternatively if the item was purchased in store they can return this to the store with their receipt for a refund. Anyone who has made a purchase from a Gift Registry can request a refund or make a return at any point up to the closure of your Gift Registry (14 days prior to your agreed delivery date), after which the returns process will be conducted by the Gift Registry owner.

We want you to be happy with everything you buy from Mamas & Papas. If you are not satisfied with your purchase(s), we will refund / exchange any unused item provided it is returned in a saleable condition, in its original, undamaged packaging. To arrange an exchange of any item bought via our Gift Registry service please call our Customer Service team where a Gift Registry consultant will talk you through the process.

Data Protection Act

In addition to the uses referred to in our Privacy Policy, we may disclose relevant personal information to the recipient about the purchaser and to the purchaser (such as a name) about the recipient (such as a name) in connection with the Gift Registry and any order for any gift.

Recycling your electrical and electronic waste (WEEE)

Unwanted electrical and electronic equipment is the UK’s fastest growing type of waste. If such equipment is not recycled or reused, it ends up in landfill sites where the hazardous substances it contains leak out and cause soil and water contamination. This contamination harms the natural habitat and wildlife and may also damage human health.

Many electrical and electronic items which we throw away can be reused, repaired or recycled. Doing so helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending these goods to landfill.

As part of our environmental responsibilities, we adhere to The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006 which are otherwise known as the WEEE Regulations.

Where you purchase any electrical or electronic product from us (whether through one of our stores, through our Customer Service team or online from our website), we will take back free of charge, on a one for one basis, any equivalent electrical or electronic product. For example, if you purchase an electric steam steriliser, we will take back your old electric steam steriliser. The product you return for recycling need not have been purchased from us. We are not, however, obliged to take back any product which is not equivalent or similar to the new product you are purchasing.

To recycle through Mamas & Papas, the old product must be returned to us within 28 days of the purchase of the new product.

If, having purchased an electrical or electronic item from ourselves, you wish to return any equivalent electrical or electronic product for recycling, please contact our Customer Service team on 0345 268 2000, and we will provide you with instructions as to how to do so. Please note it is mandatory that you contact us in this way before any electrical or electronic item is returned to us. It is not necessary for you to insure any items which are returned to us under the WEEE Regulations through the post. All items returned to us are recorded and disposed of as required by the Regulations.

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical and electronic goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown below.

Goods marked with this symbol show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.

Price Match Promise

Our Price Match Promise states that if you find an identical product cheaper elsewhere on the high street or from the same retailer online and that retailer offers exactly the same service package as our own, we’ll match that price, or refund the difference within 7 days of purchase or receipt of your items.

We’re here whenever you need us; in store, online or over the phone making shopping with us easy and convenient for you. You won’t receive this level of service from online or mail order only retailers which is why we don’t match their prices. This promise is subject to the following conditions:

  • We will price match any UK mainland or Republic of Ireland high street retailer, with high street premises open to the public and with an identical branded online transactional website.
  • We do not price match clearance and warehouse outlets, factory shops, auction sites, membership clubs, online only retailer’s or mail order and home shopping only retailer’s.
  • We do not price match retailers which are in administration or closing down.
  • We will only price match products which are visible in a high street retailer’s store or on their website and clearly priced.
  • We will price match a price when you buy or if you have already purchased your product(s); we will refund the difference to your original form of payment within 7 days of purchase or receipt of your goods;
  • The Price Match Promise applies to all products sold at Mamas & Papas and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers, discounts or voucher codes;
  • The original purchase must have been made at a Mamas & Papas store in the UK, over the phone with our Customer Service team, or online at www.mamasandpapas.com;
  • The Price Match Promise applies to an identical product(s) which is in stock and available to purchase and immediately available to take away;
  • The product(s) must be the same colour, model and brand. The service provisions and any package promotion offered must also be identical to what Mamas & Papas offer for that product(s);
  • On products that require delivery, we take delivery charges and timescales into account;
  • To claim the Price Match Promise pre-purchase, you will need to provide competitor’s written quote or website information and the product(s) information for us to verify the claim;
  • To claim the Price Match Promise post-purchase, a proof of purchase will be required. Either the original receipt when purchased in store or delivery notification and/or despatch e-mail when purchased online or through our Customer Service team. You will also need to provide website information for us to verify your claim;
  • Refunds must be claimed within 7 days of purchase or receipt of your item(s).
  • Mamas & Papas reserve the right to withdraw or change this offer at any time;
  • Mamas & Papas reserve the right to investigate a price match claim further if we have not been able to immediately verify the claim, or to decline a refund request when the price match terms and conditions have not been met;
  • Mamas & Papas reserve the right to investigate and refuse a price match claim if they have reason to believe that a quantity of the same product(s) has been purchased with the intention to sell on a 3rd party basis.
  • Mamas & Papas reserve the right only to match prices that are (in Mamas & Papas reasonable opinion) genuine prices for genuine goods. For example, we do not match the prices of websites offering counterfeit products.

Love 2 Shop Vouchers

We now accept Love 2 Shop vouchers in any of our Mamas & Papas stores in the UK. Please note that for items purchased which are less than the voucher amount we are not able to provide change in any form.

If for any reason you would like to return items purchased using Love 2 Shop vouchers, we will provide a full refund to a Mamas & Papas gift card only. This is in accordance with our Refund Policy. However if you would prefer to have your refund in Love 2 Shop vouchers you will need to return your Mamas & Papas gift card to Park retail Ltd, the provider of the Love 2 Shop vouchers to request this. Park retail Ltd will require your original voucher purchase receipt together with your Mamas & Papas gift card to process a the refund in Love 2 Shop vouchers
