What I've Learnt

I've learnt a lot since becoming a mum to Shay. But if I had to boil it down to three things, then this is what I would say. And if you're a new mum struggling to get use to all the changes, hopefully these realisations will help you too.

I'm happier in my body

I thought I'd be the opposite. People tell you how your body is never the same after kids but I am in the mindset that it's pretty amazing, it just created a new life!

Do it your way

I thought I'd be much stricter with not letting Shay have a dummy and doing everything 'right'. I've learnt that there isn't a right way of doing things you just have to do it your way.

Say yes to help

I have always believed that I can do it all and by myself. I've now learnt to say yes to help - even if it's just to hold Shay while I shower.
