Let's face it, having a baby can be expensive for the most of us. It is so important for parents to know there's longevity in their bigger purchases, like furniture. Luckily for you we have the perfect solution. Read Darcy Brown's Flyn wardrobe review below.
Ok let’s start off and say furniture isn’t cheap. In fact, having a baby isn’t cheap. So it was important for us to choose something that can not only grow with our baby, i.e large enough to hold his mountain of clothes, but to also withstand the test of time. We wanted a wardrobe that would fit in with Barney’s current nursery but would work just as well if we decide to redecorate, or move it to another room. The classic Flyn Wardrobe is perfect for this. Not only is the design super pretty, featuring it’s curved edges, cornice and creamy painted finish (yes please!) But it’s also a full sized wardrobe - win!
The wardrobe comes with two removable rails and a drawer you could literally set up camp in. We currently store Barney’s sleepsuits and base layers in here using Ikea partitions, making it super easy to just grab and go.
The shelf is adjustable too which is super handy for when we will need more space for Barney’s larger sized clothes (sob). We could then remove it completely when the time comes to use it as an adult wardrobe.
It also has a safety strap at the back that you to fix to a wall which ensures they’ll be no accidents. It did take a while to build (sorry James), but in my opinion this definitely certifies the sturdiness of it.
There are so many products that we purchase for a new baby; moses basket, pushchair, car seat, baby monitor, play gym, the list goes on. And sadly, most will have a short shelf life in our homes. So I think it’s imperative that with furniture, we invest in something with longevity. The Flyn Wardrobe is a perfect fit for our family and I know it will be for years to come.
Our four favourite features
- Classic, heritage design to compliment any interior
- Sizeable drawer
- Sturdy and robust
- Full sizes to ensure longevity
We were also gifted some clothing pieces as part of their SS20 launch and we are obsessed.
Alongside a beautiful knitted all-one, we received the sweetest pair of white cotton pyjamas that even come with their own dust bag?! A mustard cardigan (who doesn’t love a boy in cardi?) And my favourite - a super soft collared sleepsuit with embroidered animals on the collar.
Many of Mamas and Papas’ designs are unisex, as a mother who doesn’t want to dress her son in 50 shades of blue everyday - this is a total win.
