The following Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases of products by you via www.mamasandpapas.com and you should read them carefully. We may vary these terms from time to time and therefore you should check them before you make a new purchase.

1. Payment

Mamas & Papas welcomes payment by the following credit and debit cards in store, over the telephone and on mamasandpapas.com: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa Electron and Solo (in the UK only), Laser (Republic of Ireland in store purchases only) and your Mamas & Papas Gift Card.

If you prefer to pay in part or in full with your Mamas & Papas Gift Card, we accept payment online, over the telephone and in all Mamas & Papas stores.

2. Acceptance of Order

We will acknowledge your order shortly after we receive it and send a further email to confirm that we have processed your order. Please ensure an accurate e-mail address is supplied.

3. Can I have flexible payment terms?

When shopping in Mamas & Papas’ stores or over the telephone, for your total convenience you can secure any item with a 25% deposit*. Simply make the remaining payments when it suits you. All we ask is that the full amount is paid on collection from store or at least 28 days prior to the delivery date of your order.

5. Returns, refunds and exchanges

We want you to be happy with everything you buy from Mamas & Papas. If you are not satisfied with your new purchase, we will exchange or refund any unused item excluding sale/discounted clothing, provided it is returned in a saleable condition, in its original, undamaged packaging, with your receipt and within 30 days from receipt of goods. Sale and discounted items the return period is 14 days, (exceptions apply for hygiene and safety reasons on some items such as toiletries, clothing and mattresses). For your convenience, you may return any new goods purchased from our stores, online or over the telephone to your most convenient store. You will need to provide your receipt for purchases made in store or an e-mail order confirmation if you have made your purchase online or over the telephone.

Please note that refunds will be provided at the local price in the local currency and may differ from those used at a point of purchase. If we find that the product has not been returned to us in a resaleable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund. We will refund your original delivery charge when a product is faulty or damaged, upon inspection but not when a product is simply unwanted. Should you require an unwanted item to be collected this can be arranged by calling Customer Care on 0845 268 2000. Please note a charge of £10 will be incurred

This does not affect your statutory rights. Please note any postage incurred by returning items to us will not be refunded. All returned goods must be accompanied by a completed delivery note (for orders delivered).

Mamas & Papas has a wide range of products covering almost all categories in the nursery market and all of our products are covered by a comprehensive Twelve Month Guarantee* against manufacturing faults from date of receipt of goods plus an ongoing service commitment for up to two years.**

* Excludes clothing and soft interiors which are refundable or exchangeable within the 30 day refund period as outlined above.

** In the case where your nursery purchases are made pre-birth, the guarantee will begin a maximum of 90 days after the date of purchase or on your baby’s birth date, whichever is the earlier.

Dutailier Nursing Chaire made-to-order product.

If you wish to cancel your Dutailier order for any reason, before you have received your goods, simply call our Customer Care Team on 0845 268 2000. We would suggest, where possible, you view the products before purchasing as wood is a natural material and may have colour variation. It is also advisable that the dimensions are checked to ensure the item can easily fit through your door and be placed in your room of choice. Once you have received your Dutailier product our usual refund policy does not apply and therefore can not be returned or exchanged unless faulty. ***

Car Seat Free Returns Policy

All Mamas & Papas car seats are universal fitting and come complete with full fitting istructions. In addition, instructions can also be given to you at selected Mamas & Papas stores. If however, you are unable to test the car seat in your own car prior to purchasing and are unable to achieve a suitable fit for your car, simply return it in an unused saleable condition, in it's original, undamaged packaging with all tags intact with your receipt and within 30 days from receipt of goods.

Please call 0845 268 2000 to arrange your free return. The car seat must be returned in its original undamaged packaging and in a saleable condition.

Where you are returning products back to head office and not to one of our stores, you should return them to us by one of the following methods set out below.

6. Pricing

All prices are correct at the time of purchase and are confirmed with an order confirmation email. Previously viewed prices via cookies on your computer will not be honored and requests to do so will be refused. Sale prices are available only while stocks last. Mamas & Papas reserve the right to change and amend prices at anytime

7. Supply

All orders are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse to supply to any individual or company. Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.

Prices and products – we endeavour to ensure that all prices and specifications are correct for the life of the catalogue when we go to press. However, we reserve the right to alter prices and specifications as necessary.

Colour reproduction – Mamas & Papas’ design team take great care with the colours used in our collections. Printing or photography limitations may mean that actual product colour differs from that shown in the catalogue or on the website

8. Cancellation

You have a statutory right to cancel your order within 8 workings days from the date of delivery and receive a full refund for any item purchased via this catalogue or from our website providing it is in the original undamaged packaging. This does not apply to products which are made to order ie; personalised or items which for hygiene reasons cannot be returned unless faulty, and furniture which we have assembled.

At the time of publication all product descriptions are accurate, errors and omissions accepted. Representations of colours are approximate, due to the limitations of photographic and printing processes. All measurements and weights are approximate.

13. Personalised Products

How your personalised products will look

  1. Personalised products are available to order through: Mamas & Papas stores, on mamasandpapas.com (UK delivery only) and by telephone on: 0845 268 2000 in the UK
  2. Products available for personalisation are embroidered or engraved to a maximum number of characters per product with the name typed and confirmed by you on our website at the time of purchase. In stores you will be asked to sign, confirming the spelling is correct. If ordered over the telephone, spelling will be confirmed by repeating the spelling back to you. We do not accept responsibility for incorrect spelling on the order form.
  3. The size of the text is subject to space restrictions/limitations. All images of the personalised products in literature and on the website are as guide only.
  4. The products are embroidered/engraved to a maximum of characters which is product specific and will be shown on the product's page. The characters include spaces e.g the Millie & Boris birth certificate holder can have a maximum of 12 characters.
  5. The cost for personalising our soft good products is £4.50 plus the current retail price and delivery charge. For all engraving items, the cost is £7.95 plus the product's current retail price and  £2.95 delivery charge. There will be only one delivery charge at the highest delivery rate associated to the items on your order.
  6. Orders are subject to availability.
  7. Only Mamas & Papas products can be engraved at Mamas & Papas
  8. Personalised products are embroidered or engraved with great care by our trained technicians and therefore may take up to seven calendar days for delivery. If ordering personalised and non-personalised products in the same order, you will have only one delivery charge at the highest applicable delivery rate associated to the items in your basket. Items maybe delivered separately.

Refunds and Exchanges

  1. Personalised products can only be returned if the product is faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please see our full Terms & Conditions.


15. Gift Wrapping & Boxes Plus Complimentary Personalised Message

If you would like to have your item(s) gift wrapped, we are pleased to provide a beautiful Mamas & Papas gift boxes or signature gift wrapping paper (item dependent). This service is provided on selected items for a nominal charge of £2.95 per item and arrives to the recipient pre-wrapped/boxed.

To take advantage of this service simply click on the Gift Wrap option while checking-out online. Included in this service free of charge, is an 'Especially for You' Greetings Card. Simply type in your personalised message (max 254 characters), approx 5 lines, and the message will appear within the card.

UK & Republic of Ireland store and phone service: If you would like to order a gift over the phone (UK: 0845 268 2000 or Republic of Ireland: 1890 882 363) or at any Mamas & Papas store and have the items sent directly to the recipient, the gift wrapping & boxing service is also available.

Please note:

  1. Gift boxing/wrapping is not available for all items. If you are purchasing an item that can be gift wrapped, the Gift Wrap option will be noted in your Shopping Bag and on your Review & Purchase page. You will be shown online whether it will be wrapped or boxed within the online checkout process.
  2. The charge for gift wrap is £2.95 per item and is non-refundable.
  3. A Free Greetings Card is available with this service (message can be a max of 254 characters).
  4. The Greetings Card message will be duplicated for all items selected for gift wrapping/boxing and will be attached to the wrapping paper or included in the box for each item.
  5. Please note that this service is currently not available on the internet in the Republic of Ireland but is available in-store and on the phone on 1890 882 363.

16. WEEE Regulations

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.

Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.

Mamas & Papas are obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.

As part of our environmental responsibility we adhere to the EU WEEE regulations. If, having purchased an electronic item from ourselves, you wish to return your unused electronic goods, please contact our customer care department on 0845 268 2000 or alternatively e-mail us at customer.care@mamasandpapas.com and we will provide instructions to do so. Please note that it is mandatory that contact with us is established before any WEEE items are returned to us. As goods are waste, under the regulations, it is not necessary to insure the items returned to us via post. All items returned to us are recorded and disposed of accordingly.

Please note that we can only accept items back under this policy which are similar to that which is purchased. e.g. If you purchase an electrical steriliser, you may return one electrical steriliser to us to be disposed of under the WEEE regulations. Like-for-like WEEE items must be returned to Mamas & Papas within 28 days of purchasing the new electrical item.

Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown below

Goods marked with this symbol show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
